Those looking for a peaceful homely sojourn in the charming town of Landour. Great for couples, small families and groups.

What we love

  • Hidden playfully within the woods and overlooking the valley of Doon and the snow peaked mountains sits this charming colonial styled cottage in the quaint town of Landour. This cosy set up is owned by a passionate couple who love and know every detail of history the region has to offer! The place promises to rescue you from the monotony of city life, encourages procrastination, precious time with nature, crisp mountain air and a chance to just be.
  • The main cottage comes with 5 bedrooms - 3 suites and 2 deluxe rooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, a charming fireplace and tastefully furnishings in subtle hues. The rooms lead onto the common lounge area, the much loved glasshouse or the terrace. The spacious suites offer delightful views of the valley. The compact deluxe rooms are better suited for those looking for a cozy stay while in the hills.
  • In addition to the main cottage, there’s also a lovely wooden cabin that offers a more private experience and is better suited for small groups/ families. The charming piece of architecture, made from logs of pine and cedar, has a double bed and two singles on the mezzanine level. There’s a kitchenette for quick meals, a study and also a fireplace to keep you warm on those chilly nights.
  • There are such charming common areas here - from the glasshouse teeming with potted and hanging plants to the study well stocked with books on a variety of genres to the charming terrace area.

What to know

  • The hosts are incredible chefs and with their background in hospitality make sure you have an excellent stay! They along with their staff ensure your meals are finger licking good and fresh! Meals here are a communal affair here where you not only get to sample interesting dishes and local drinks but also get to exchange fascinating stories with fellow guests from the world over!
  • The cottage is located off the main road and reached through a curvaceous downward path. Good news for those with any walking issues, there’s a golf cart available that can ferry you about.
  • It’s always heart warming to see owners who go to great lengths to play their part in conservation and provide support to the local community. Here, energy is powered through solar, rain-water is harvested for use, products such as toiletries, bed-covers and carpets have been purchased from NGOs in the region and local people from humble backgrounds are employed and trained.
  • There’s a small shop within the property where you’ll find products made by the local craftsmen and artisans or purchased from not for profit organizations in the area. Play your part by buying a little something - from wooden scarfs to cosmetics, for friends/ family back home, while helping out someone in need.
