Nature lovers, peace seekers and those looking for a heavenly weekend break, this place is it! It’s gem of a weekend getaway far away from anything that a city offers. Live in the midst of tea plantations, surrounded by the misty mountains and the passing clouds. Nature lover or not, this place is bound to make you one and leave you craving for more!

What we love

  • Magic. That’s the only word that can describe a place as gorgeous and mesmerizing such as this. Drive through the rolling hills into the tea plantation to arrive at an enchanting locale where you’re greeted first by the clouds and the mist, then by the breathtaking range of Nilgiris and finally by the warmest people who will turn the next few days into a dream for you.
  • The cottage comes with 3 fantastically appointed luxurious bedrooms each with a cozy fireplace, sit out and verandah, ensuite bathrooms and dressing area, a regal lounge and living area, a dining area where delicious cuisine is served by the warmest smiling staff, and verandahs where one can spend hours soaking in the beauty of nature.
  • The best place to watch the drama of the mountains is at the verandah with a cup of hot tea and the mist for company. Surrender yourself to nature and be ready to get transported to the world of pure beauty.
  • Wake up to the melody of the Malabar Whistling Thrush or fondly known as the Whistling Schoolboy, walk barefoot on the dewy grass, inhale and fill your lungs with the pure oxygen, spot a herd of elephants from the cottage and cherish the calm that surrounds the place. If there’s a place called paradise, this must be it!

What to know

  • Savour simple yet delicious food prepared by the chef and served artistically. Should you want something in particular, let the chef know and he’ll take care of it. Also, for those who tend to feel hungry or thirsty between meals, knock on the chef’s door and watch him stir up the perfect cup of tea/ coffee or a snack, all served with a smile.
  • Nearby, there’s a gold mine that you can trek and go upto. If interested, do carry a sturdy pair of shoes and a torch if possible! It’s really exciting.
  • You can bring out the child within you and play the variety of board games in the bungalow or go on the various treks around the plantations. Regardless of what you choose to do, you’ll come back feeling recharged, rejuvenated and relaxed.
  • The place also offers a visit to the tea factory where you can learn all about how and where your morning cuppa comes from. We highly recommend a visit there.
  • There’s a great collection of books, do take the time to browse through them, you never know what may catch your fancy!
