This luxury resort, with its rural design, wilderness setting, luxurious yet locally prepared cottages, delectable cuisine, surrounding natural beauty and historical associations, is really the best one can want on a vacation! One of the most authentic and romantic experiences in Rajasthan perfect for couples who will not stop smiling till they leave or a group that’s looking to just spend time with one another in a serene setting.

What we love

  • The location of this resort will astound you! This place was the hunting lodge of a noble family back in the 19th century where they’d host other renowned families and British diplomats. From a distance you can view the wilderness all around and catch a glimpse of the running deer and if you’re lucky, a tiger as well! Pretty ducks sail majestically on the calm waters of the man-made lake while beautiful birds dive in to quench their thirst.
  • Each structure from the past has been meticulously restored to preserve the heritage and allow guests to learn about the traditional customs of the Rajputs. There’s a little story waiting to be told at every step.
  • We love the swimming pool that’s been carved out of a rock and offers expansive views of the wilderness, greens and provides a crazy sense of freedom. A swim in this pool, we assure you, will be like no other!
  • Each cottage made of stone and mud is pure indulgence! It comes with resplendent bright furnishings, a lounge area with a fireplace, interesting renditions of traditional board games, a private plunge pool with sun loungers, a delightful and creative en-suite bathroom and of course a bedroom that’s very comfortable and relaxing.

What to know

  • Walk around and you’ll discover the most charming little reading alcove in the world! Soak in the beauty of rural wilderness while you slowly turn pages of the book you’re reading.
  • The meals here are finger licking good! Savour the highly authentic local cuisine that’s prepared by the chef using local herbs and organic vegetables prepared according to your tastes and preferences. If you’re a foodie, you’ll end up asking for the recipe of many of the dishes! Dining under the star lit nights is pure delight with a light campfire with barbeque.
  • You could indulge in a host of activities while here - guided nature walks around the lake, excursions to the village where you can taste the local liquor, fishing, yoga and meditation.
  • We’d recommend keeping a car if you wish to get around the area as the property is located a little away from the main road.
  • Carry comfortable shoes to walk to and from your cottages. Take care of children and elderly folks around the paths carved out of the rocks.
