Perfect for those who wish to explore the unknown side of Rajasthan without compromising on any comfort. This place is perfect for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway, for a group of family/ friends who want to spend time with one another or even a corporate retreat

What we love

  • Each luxurious tent has a little private sit out that overlooks the garden and makes for the best place to stretch your legs and enjoy a cup of tea.
  • The aesthetic and luxurious decor of the tents doesn’t make you feel like you’re in the midst of rural Rajasthan
  • There are charming common areas where you can enjoy a snack or just lounge around while the surrounding gardens overwhelm you

What to know

  • Make sure you carry comfortable shoes when you travel here
  • There could be a bug here or an ant there. Don’t freak out, they’re harmless
  • These tents are located in rural Rajasthan and there isn’t much to do around the area
  • If you’re headed to Jaipur city, try and get back before sunset as the road that leads up to these tents is pretty dark

Amer Fort, Jaipur

Open: 8 am to 5:30 pm

The majestic Amer Fort Palace was created by Raja Man Singh in the late 16th century as a larger palace to the already existing home of the rulers. The palace is situated on a forested hill that juts into the Maota lake near Amer village, a short distance from the main city of Jaipur.

You can get to the entrance of the fort on the back of an elephant which is an experience you’ll remember for a long time to come! Make sure you go in early cause the elephants get booked really fast and there’s usually a really long queue!

The fort also houses a fabulous sit down restaurant where you can experience authentic Royal Rajasthani food after a delightful light and sound show. For more details on Amer Fort in Jaipur click here
