Wildlife enthusiasts looking for a luxurious yet adventurous stay in the wilderness of Pench will find this resort to be perfect!

What we love

  • This beautiful resort is set in a quiet and picturesque hamlet where one can enjoy the vast private forest areas all around, listening to the pleasant jungle sounds - the echoing bird calls, the persistent cricket chirps, the playful yelps of the monkeys, the fluttering of the leaves and the stirring breeze of the wild. And if you’re lucky, you’re very likely to spot some woodland animals passing by too!
  • Live your childhood fantasy of staying up on a treehouse when you book a stay here! Each cottage is an architectural marvel that’s raised on stilts and wrapped around a tree. During the day, enjoy the uninterrupted panorama of the wild from your private wooden deck and by night, tuck yourself into canopied beds. With wooden flooring and branches piercing through the cottage, you’ll love the luxurious yet rustic cottages that allow you to become one with the arboreal world as well as spot animals in the wild - from jackals, spotted deer to wild boars and jungle cats!
  • Walk over to the fabulous and eclectic dining area where an ancient tree trunk serves the purpose of the central table. Admire the wildlife photographs that fill the walls while aromatic food is prepared in the kitchen. Couples looking for a romantic dinner should definitely opt for the enchanting experience of a bush dinner where a private table for two is set up in the wilderness under the starry skies and lit with fairy lights.
  • There are several hamlets in and around the Pench National Park which are perfect for an eye opening journey through india’s rich and vibrant countryside. Stroll through the verdant fields, shop at the village haats, peak into the lives of the locals and if you’re the experimental sort, enjoy a local tipple made of mahua flowers with them!

What to know

  • The reason to be here is to say a little hello to the animals in their natural habitat! Hop on a gypsy along with an expert naturalist and get ready to explore the wild! Although the tigers and leopards are the lords of the deciduous jungle, the prey population is very high. The park with its variety of rare birds is also a bird watcher’s paradise! For those who’d like to spot the nocturnal creatures, the resort offers a unique night trail where you can trudge through the forest with torches spotting owls, civets and other creatures of the night.
  • Mowgli, the man-cub from Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’ was a fictional resident of the Seoni jungle. Though Kipling had never been to Seoni, he managed, with extensive reports from friends, to bring the exquisite world of the jungle to life. And to be honest, it’s not too hard to imagine loin-clothed Mowgli swinging on vines or fooling around with Bagheera and Baloo, in this sylvan setting.
  • Though your abode among the trees is extremely well appointed and safe, the rules of the jungle dictate! Here are a few things that that will hold you in good stead - (a) always lock the doors and windows to prevent the entry of uninvited jungle friends, (b) seal your luggage to make sure that aren’t easily accessible for rodents and other varmints, (c) don’t leave food in the open (d) we’d recommend giving solitary walks around post sunset as the forest comes alive after twilight with nocturnal animals on the prowl!
  • The owners of the resort are vehement protectors of the environment and go to great lengths to push conservation and sustainable development. Not only are the cottages built adhering to strict eco-friendly policies but the food too is prepared using organic vegetables and local produce from the organic gardens around.

Pench National Park

Pench National Park, put on the world map by Rudyard Kipling with this famous “Jungle Book”, derives its name from the Pench river that flows through the forest.
