GREAT FOR

Couples, families, a group of friends - all kinds of travelers will love the serenity of the place and the views that it offers of the backwaters and the activities on it. Great place to enjoy authentic Kerala!

What we love

  • The location of this resort will take your breathe away! It’s set right on the backwaters where you can watch houseboats of different shapes, sizes and colours sail majestically. You’ll also see fisherman set out on their little boats to catch fish for the day and birds diving to catch their prey.
  • The villas have been built beautifully and tastefully in traditional Kerala style. The rooms have inviting four poster beds and en-suite open air bathrooms. If the budget permits, we highly recommend selecting the lake view villas.
  • The restaurant serves delicious traditional Kerala and Chettinad food. Get your palette ready while they get the food ready!

What to know

  • There are a host of recreational facilities and activities that one can indulge in whilst here - basketball, mini golf, volleyball, cycling, badminton, frisbee, chess, snooker, table tennis etc. Great way to keep the kids entertained!
  • The hospitality extended by the staff is extremely warm. Should you need anything, just ask for it and we’re sure they’ll take care of it.

Black gold of the past

This spice put India on the world map and made many figure out a route to India! It was so valuable that even rent could be paid using peppercorns, giving rise to a term called “peppercorn rent”. Don’t you wish you could still do that? :)

This spice is frequently used to improve digestion other than seasoning all that exotic food ofcourse.

Jew Town & Jewish Synagogue

Many shops are closed on Sundays

One of the oldest Jewish settlements in the world dating back to 700 B.C. It is also believed that Jewish traders came to the shores of Cochin seeking spices and the town bustled with trade, festivals such as Hanukkah, Yom Kippur and Jewish New Year. Now, you’ll find fewer than 9 surviving members of the community, all over the age of 75. Most migrated to Israel in the 20th century.

Today you’ll see antique shops dot the narrow lanes leading up to the Jewish Synagogue, a flourishing spice market, brightly painted walls and interesting Hebrew inscriptions! Do visit the famous Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Fridays & Saturdays) anytime between 10:00 to 13:00 & 15:00 to 17:00 hours.
