GREAT FOR

Those looking for a quiet and local experience of Goa will love this place! This Goa Portuguese villa is located in a sleepy village area of Goa about 15 minutes away from the best beaches of Goa. It’s a great place for honeymooners or a small group looking for a villa in goa that’s all theirs.

What we love

  • You’ll fall in love with the Portuguese mansion just at first glance. It’s been furnished with high taste and a great sense of aesthetics. The choice of colours is extremely soothing. This place is bound to make your vacation in Goa a really relaxing one.
  • The hospitality and service extended by the team here is fantastic! Definitely make a request to the chef for some local cuisine. You’ll be delighted!
  • Take a walk around the area and you could bump into the real locals of Goa who still speak in Portuguese!

What to know

  • You can either rent the full 3 bedroom bungalow or take 1 or 2 rooms.
  • Public transportation is limited from here. We highly recommend renting a car or scooter/ bike to get around the area.
  • This is like a home away from home. If you need laundry or ironing to be done or special food to be prepared, you can get it done here. You can also indulge in relaxing massages and yoga in the villa. Just let them know a few hours in advance and it will be organized.

Anjuna Flea Market

On Wednesdays from 8am to 7pm

Months: October to May

The market started in the 1970s when the hippies who had descended on the land of Goa from the Western world wished to stay longer but couldn’t afford to do so. They began bartering and then eventually selling their goodies in exchange of money and thus began the famous Anjuna Flea Market.

Saunter in looking for a bargain but walk out with an experience gained. Get past the local vendors, spot the artist and designer shops and find that bargain - pixie shoes, cosmic jewelry, red leather jackets, abstract art or even miniature stringed instruments! Haggle hard and be prepared for the onslaught! The market is a visual spectacle that must not be missed!
