GREAT FOR

Minutes away from the beaches of North Goa, yet shielded from the rush of the crowds, this three bedroom villa is great for groups that like for their luxurious living quarters to be quiet while not being far from happening restaurants, bars and markets. A quintessential Goan villa that’s ideal for a group of 6 to 8.

What we love

  • This one’s a quintessential three bedroom Indo-Portuguese villa, encircled by lush greenery and swaying palms, tucked in an affluent village neighbourhood that was once famed as the ‘Village of Flowers’. The carefully refurbished ancestral mansion perfectly amalgamates the vintage exterior with the contemporary interior, creating a vacation space that allows you to peak into the Portuguese yesteryears without giving up on present day luxuries.
  • Enter the grounds of this gorgeous villa into a resplendent landscaped garden embellished with potted ferns, baby palms, lily ponds, dotted with rustic garden seating and comprising of the grand outdoor swimming pool with poolside loungers - the ultimate space for hours of relaxation and quiet punctuated only by the occasional whistling of the tropical birds.
  • Past the verandahs lie the the high ceilinged grand interior living and lounge areas with several stylish sitting set ups with sink in couches and teapoys on the patterned tiles. The living areas are tastefully decorated with vivid artworks, ornamental chandeliers and lamp-shades, as well as unique artifacts that make you pause for a while. Floor to ceiling French doors gracefully connect the indoors with the outdoors while allowing plenty of natural light to stream in and the surrounding greens to be all pervasive.
  • There are three luxurious bedrooms, each furnished with colonial four poster or canopy beds and beautiful period furniture. The capacious bedrooms with mood lighting flaunt quirky artworks and come with artistically designed modern ensuite bathrooms.

What to know

  • Provision for a balcão and an in built sitting area were distinct features in most ancestral Portuguese Goan homes. This is where family members would spend time together in the evenings, meet and greet with passer-byes while in the midst of a warm cup of tea. During your stay in this villa, you can enjoy this beautiful space with contemporary touches while unwinding at the verandahs and balcãos that run along the front of the villa.
  • A colonial style dining table is where you could feast on sumptuous home cooked style meals. While breakfast is included, lunch and dinner can be served on request at an additional charge. From simple lentils, vegetables and rice to exotic Goan curries, just let the cook know what you’d like to have along with your preference of vegetarian/ non vegetarian. Note, the kitchen although fully equipped is out of bounds for guests. There’s a warm team of staff who’ll be at your service from housekeeping needs to tasty grub for the tummy!
  • Although located in a quiet village area surrounded by hills in the distance, the locale has some great restaurants and eclectic boutiques. Just a short drive away are several popular beaches, the sea-front as well as many lively and most happening restaurants of North Goa! The ideal location for people who want their peace and quiet while being close to places of interest.
