GREAT FOR

This place is for connoisseurs of elegance, heritage, luxury and sophistication. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple or a group, you’e bound to fall in love with this boutique property in Manali. If you’ve got a love for the mountains, read Jane Austen too much or enjoy breathtaking Gothic romances, this place is a paradise.

What we love

  • This boutique hotel in Manali epitomises beauty, romance and luxury. Imagine a world of tall green conifers, alpine blossoms and fruit orchards, gushing waterfalls and rivulets strewn with pebbles and the imposing mountain peaks set against an azure sky - that’s the sublime beauty that permeates this magical place!
  • The structure - the castle and the cottages - are straight out of a Victorian novel, complete with turrets, chimneys and pinnacles, carved out of bricks, creating an imposing enchanting architectural marvel, bound to transport you to a space of magic and old world charm!
  • If the medieval Hogwarts-like castle had you hooked and swooning, wait till you enter this gorgeous structure. With high ceilings, ornamental and elegant dark wood furniture, chequered marble floors, cast-iron fireplaces, antique chandeliers, spiral staircases and portraits of chivalry from another era, this place will make you slip into the shoes of royalty!
  • Create a fable of your own when you stay in the rooms in the castle. Each regal chamber comes with a four poster bed, a snug fireplace, ambient lighting, plush fittings and state of the art ensuite bathrooms. If you’re traveling with children or a small family/ group of 4, you could also choose to stay in the cottages set by the poolside and garden area with sweeping panoramic views of the snow peaked mountains! Each cottage has 2 bedrooms, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely verandah and indulgent ensuite bathrooms where you can enjoy long scented baths in the Victorian stand-alone bath-tub!
  • We loved the service and hospitality extended by the staff! Your every need will be attended to with graciousness. The service will be attentive though not obtrusive.

What to know

  • Unleash the hidden adventurer within you while in Manali - from enjoying a candle-lit dinners inside a tent to biking along winding mountain roads, sailing on the gushing Beas river, rock climbing, skiing down snow-capped hills - this place is an adventure seeker’s playground!
  • A vacation in Manali is incomplete without a taste of the elaborate ‘dham’ - a traditional Himachali meal that contains aromatic rice, a choice of lentils, spicy vegetable curries and a variety of desserts - usually served during special occasions. Wash it down with the local alcoholic beverages, lugdi and chang - kinds of crude beer! You may not get this while here, but we do recommend trying this when you’re out in the markets and mall area. While at the boutique hotel, do try the fresh trout from the Beas ricer by the poolside, while sipping on red wine.
  • Swimming in the pool with the breathtaking vistas with the silence broken only by the twitterati of the birds, the rustling of the leaves and song of the winds. Bring out the inner child within you when you take a stroll along the gaily-decorated garden path. Explore the fruit orchards, chase butterflies and enjoy a game of tennis. If you’ve grown up with the English classics, pamper your Victorian soul by playing a game of croquet. There’s also a well-equipped gymnasium for fitness enthusiasts, though you may want to give a miss to this after treks and trails around Manali!
  • We were glad to see that the owners and staff are extremely eco-conscious and are committed to enhancing and conserving the natural beauty of the environment. A thumbs up for Investments towards renewable energy and a focus on water conservation!
