GREAT FOR

A group of 4 to 6 friends or family looking to relax in style while being surrounded by stunning Balinese nature. A great peaceful home base for exploring Ubud, Bali’s cultural and spiritual hub.

What we love

  • This peaceful villa with 3 bedrooms is a secluded hideaway from the hectic pace of modern-day life. Located in a charming Balinese village just north of Ubud, the villa is surrounded by vibrant green rice paddies. Rejuvenate in the greens while listening to the tranquil sounds of the nearby river.
  • Making the most of the villa’s hillside location, the property is charmingly spread out on different levels, allowing guests the joy of exploration and discovery as they make their way through rice paddies and quaint villages. The overall design is a harmonious union between modern design and traditional Balinese influences, such as the thatched roof towering above you and the rich natural materials of wood and stone incorporated in the décor. The semi open living area takes center-stage while offering breathtaking views of the valley and forested area beyond.
  • The beautiful bedrooms are furnished with luxurious four-poster beds draped in dream-soft linen, guaranteed to transport you into blissfully rejuvenating sleep. From the comfort of your bed, observe migratory and resident birds - Java Kingfishers, Zitting Cisticola, Scaly Breasted Munias and the popular Herons - as they find shelter on one of the many trees or patrol the rice fields in search of food.
  • The shimmering blue swimming pool evokes the feeling of a true modern-day oasis with lush green trees folding over it and providing a comfortable shade from the tropical sun. Indulge in a refreshing dip in those crystal clear waters and feel the soul unwind.

What to know

  • For days when you just want to relax and dine in, feast on the scrumptious food served at the villa. Order some Nasi Campur Bali, or Balinese mixed rice, a delectable sampler of the island’s finest cuisine, served along with piquant chicken, fresh vegetables, chilli sauce and crunchy crackers. Best enjoyed with a bottle of ice cold Bintang, the local beer, or a soda on the side.
  • Surrounded by emerald green rice fields and lush tropical forests, the villa is blessed with vibrant flora and fauna. Don’t be surprised if you come across a rainbow- coloured beetle or a swarm of exotic butterflies on your walk around the garden!
  • Life on the island is heavily dominated, and beautifully so, by the customs and festivals of Balinese Hinduism. On leisurely walks, you may just chance upon large ceremonies, where you can spontaneously witness the colour and splendour of the island, making it one of the many highlights of your vacation. Given the one-lane roads that connect the island, sometimes, these also cause major traffic snarls - best not to have very strict schedules or fixed plans while in Bali.
  • The villa is located a 15-minute drive from central Ubud, a lively village bustling with art and culture, restaurants and shops.
